Transition FAQs
EarthSave is moving!
Here is what you can expect during our transition.
Q: What is going on with EarthSave?
A: EarthSave is moving to California to be run by volunteer staff.
Q: Why is EarthSave moving to California? What is happening to our New York headquarters?
A: EarthSave is moving because it will cost us much less to operate as a non-profit in California. Our New York office will close and all organization business will be handled from the California office.
Q: I am a member/leader of a local chapter. Will we still be able to get everything we need to operate?
A: Yes. There should be very little interruption in service. In this electronic age, transferring important parts of the operation can be done very quickly, and services to chapters will continue as before.
Q: What is EarthSave's financial condition that is making this necessary?
A: EarthSave is in the same condition as many other people and businesses in this country. We need $$$ and without sufficient donations, it is hard for EarthSave to continue doing the work we've done for over two decades. We are tightening EarthSave's belt in order to survive through this lean period, and then eventually thrive.
Q: Will EarthSave be able to continue doing the things it did before?
A: Yes. EarthSave plans to continue publishing up to date materials, our newsletter, maintaining projects, assisting chapters and creating new programs.
Q: What can I expect to see from EarthSave in the future?
A: We are going through an important transition and evolving with the times. We will continue to educate the world about the importance of a plant-based diet, and we will be working on new and exciting programs at the national level.
Q: How can I help?
A: Join us. Or if you are already a member, consider making a donation. If you're in the Los Angeles area and wish to volunteer to help with the national office, email us at jeff@earthsave.org. You can also contact us with further questions.
We want to extend a big thank you to all our wonderful members for bearing with us during this transition.
