EarthSave International -- Healthy People Healthy Planet

Dear Friends,

The last few months have been filled with more media attention than ever regarding factory farming and the vegan diet.  World Watch Magazine reported that 51% of human induced green house gas emissions are from animal agriculture - making this the number one cause of global warming.  Film star, Alicia Silverstone has been on TV talk shows speaking out on these issues with the release of her new book The Kind Diet.  And everyone is buzzing about best selling fiction writer Jonathan Safran Foer's new non fiction book Eating Animals.   The message EarthSave has been educating about for over 20 years is finally being heard in greater numbers than ever before.   More and more people are considering moving toward a plant-based diet.

I'll be talking with Jonathan Safran Foer, live, about his new book Eating Animals this Wednesday, November 25th at 3pm (Eastern) on EarthSave's radio show, It's All About Food.  I hope you will be able to tune in to this special program on EarthSave Radio.  You can call in and ask Mr. Foer your questions.

There's more.  We've added another EarthSave Radio show called Ask A Vegan which premiers this Sunday at 7pm (Eastern) on the Progressive Radio Network (PRN).  Please call in and ask me for holiday menu suggestions, ask your questions or share your stories and recipes!  We want to hear from you.

To tune in to either show, just go to www.earthsave.org/radio.html and click on the yellow icon on the top right of the page that says, CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO PRN.

Just in time for the holidays: Do your gift shopping at The Vegetarian Site and EarthSave receives a gift as well.  The Vegetarian Site is giving 10% of all sales to EarthSave during the month of November.  Shop online at TheVegetarianSite.com for lots of wonderful cruelty free products and planet-friendly foods.

There is so much to be thankful for!  Despite the economic downturn EarthSave continues to move forward, coming up with new and innovative ways to help people transition to a healthy, planet-friendly diet.  But we can't do it without your financial support.   Show your gratitude and appreciation by giving generously.  You can make a tax-deductible contribution at our website www.EarthSave.org or give us a call at 1-800-362-3648 and we'll take your credit card information over the phone.  Checks are welcome as well.  Make them out to EarthSave and mail them to PO Box 96, New York, NY 10108.
